Every day thousands of animals enter shelters across the country. Others are neglected, dumped on the side of the road, and left to die by some people. We are trying to help, and you can too. Please have your pets spayed or neutered and always think adoption first!

The Homeward Bound project is funded through the
Endowed Professorship for Humane Ethics and Animal Welfare
at the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Veterinary students from the Northeast started this project after seeing the needs of the local shelters and recognizing an opportunity to help animals in need by transporting them to an area where they could find homes. In its first year, this project has saved the lives of over 500 animals.
